I agree Edward, the last two of your wife have looked great. I see the difference in Kodak (Caucasian optimized - more yellow) vs. Fuji skin tones (Asian optimized - more magenta), but both are good here. I also really liked the rendering of the tight vertical of the waiter with the 35/1.4. This is how I would want my film images to look.
Abram, I agree about the Leica lenses. Every single one I own/owned has eventually started to loosen up and wobble to a certain degree. Worst has been my silver 50 Lux ASPH, which is closing in on needing to go back for tightening and to reset proper infinity focus (it focuses a hair past). I think this is the tradeoff of the small, dense mechanical design - it eventually needs a tune up, repeatedly.
Michael, thanks. I think the turnaround time with DAG also makes me a bit nervous, and the range of forum user experiences from quick to waiting a long time; great communication or no communication. Maybe for something 'simple' like RF or lens tune up he would be faster... I just feel there is never a good time when I want to be without the camera. Maybe just need to do it and fall back to the M9 and re-experience its pristine new sensor.
Sorry for the image dump - making up for not posting a while.
An overview of about 4 hours wandering around the downtown Detroit area prior to a football game a few weeks ago. Glad I arrived early to explore. I think I have found a new favourite urban destination... Love the contrast of old and decay with newer and more modern. Also interesting to note I saw a sign advertising condos starting at $400K.... in Detroit?? Talk about gentrification.
M240 and 50 Lux ASPH, 90ME, CV35/1.7M x3, 50, 35, 50 x2, 90 x2, 50.
