Some great people shots (portraits and less formal ones) in the last page.
Well, I sold my M9 as hoped for and collected a 3 month old M240 yesterday after the seller and I each drove some 300+ km to a rendezvous. The seller has just bought an M10 and it did look really cool, however the M240 will be my digital Leica M for some time I suspect. Incredibly I only lost about 10% of the purchase price of my own M9 after buying it about 4 years ago via this forum. I lumped in a quality Leicatime case, two extra aftermarket batteries and a cheap but reasonable Industar-61 LD lens in my sale.
M9s here seem to be going for as little as A$1000-1300 less than M240s, that was my experience (apart from PP and eBay fees!). (A$ = 0.76 US$)
I'm on a learning curve, reading the manual (!!!) tonight and reading that if I select 100 ISO it results in lower contrast than base ISO shots. I wonder does the M9 also do this when pulled to 80 ISO?
I have taken about 20 shots using the M240, with my Summarit 50 f/2.4 and my converted Contax G21 f/2.8. Edge discolouration is worse than it was on the M9, coded as 11134, other lens codes being worse on both M9 and M240. (I can correct edge colour shifts using an LCC image to compensate in Capture One Pro (or similar in LR).
No corrections to G21 shots yet, so just posting one two more from Havana and two from yesterday using the M240.

Gundagai Post Office - sold by David M, on Flickr
Gundagai is an iconic country town in rural SE Australia. The beautiful 19th Cent era Post Office has a 'Sold' sign on it, yet another wonderful P.O. building sold off by Australia Post as it no longer meets their criterion for larger retail-space. They attempt to offset declining postal service income by selling diverse crap, as well as massively increased postal rates!
