Hi,

All taken with Canon FDn 200mm f4 macro in front of a 5DMkII...the frog was at 1/2 life-size nearly 3 feet away...

Good shots, Edd. I love that last one.

p.2 #9 · Canon FDn 20mm f/2.8 and 24mm f/2.8 on A7R

Sorry no image being posted, however I do have a query, for expert help from the erudite types on this thread (I'm looking at you Roboticspro in particular )

I picked up a breech-lock FD24/2.8 a couple of years back for my 5N, but used it little due to the foibles of FD/FL aperture pins on adapters.

I now have the A7R and tried the 24 for only a few shots - looks good.

One klutzy challenge I have right now though - I managed to totally bind the 24s FL breech lock ring against the rear lens cap - nothing wants to budge. Does anyone have a solution? I note two tiny Phillips head screws on the side of the lock ring. Perhaps if I unscrew those I can free up the jam?

This is an OLD thread, had been dormant for 3 years. I guess Canon has it's own forum, and this is the alternative equipment forum.

I have a vague memory of jamming up an FD mount lens on the rear lens cap, freed it by "jiggling" and turning. Think it was the 50/1.4 SSC.

This shot is "Alternate"... Canon 50/1.4 FL mount lens converted to RF coupled M-Mount, on the Leica M Monochrom. Wide-open.

Thanks Brian - re jiggling and turning solution. I've tried that with mine and given myself blisters, it's jammed so tight.

I recall this thread when it was active a few years back.
