I am unable to open a jpeg as camera RAW in CS5. I was able to use this feature on my former 32 bit desktop computer. I have recently installed CS5 on a 64 bit machine. All other features of CS5 seem to work. I almost always shoot in RAW, but occasionally shoot jpeg. When I attempt to open a jpeg as RAW, I get the following error message:
"Camera Raw editing is not enabled. Camera Raw editing requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature."

RAW files open with no problem.

Check your Camera RAW preferences for Jpeg and TIFF handling .... make sure it is not set to "Disable jpeg handling"

Thanks for the advice. I just checked. The feature is enabled:
"Automatically open JPEGs with settings"

I think that option only opens jpegs with pre-existing camera raw settings. To open all jpegs select the other option .... something like open all jpegs.

Hope someone can help! system windows xp home version. checked above replys but still unable to open jpegs into raw fro photoshop bridge, any ideas?

You need to run Photoshop or any other Adobe program on your computer at least once before attempting to open image files in Adobe Camera Raw.

Yes have had images completed as normal but dont seem to let me open in Raw
