Jack, Rich, great images from A7r. Especially feel happy for Rich since you finally find your Leica R glass a new home, hope this new mother treat them well
Got the A7R tonight. with adapter, it is not balance well on most R lens
The best one so far, I'd say 21-35mm and 50cron. But even 50cron, I prefer it is on SLR. it looks abnormal large. 21-35 feel very good compare all the zoom I have seen on any body.
But focus with fast glass is a joy with EVF if you don't care delay and black out time. (I do)
The blank time and shutter feel is not good.(not only sound but response and feeling)
customization is awesome, one of best I have seen. I didn't read the manual but have already set the camera as I wanted 90% in half a hour. Build feels having a small but noticeable step above A7, not bad but not great either. button is very small, I wish they reduce # of button make it bigger.
Manual is long but not confusing as long as you don't need drive into the 100+(I feel) list.
With essential setting on the body, It is not difficult set everything up on body with so many button on it. I wish they have advanced/selective manual so that you can get rid off all the redundant manual option.
I can imagine it will be a good tool for many people, but I will not make it as my sole body, especially for R user who doesn't shoot landscape only.
the image review and zoom is less responsive than Canikon.
I love it over all, will give it 75/100 on build and handling and you all know I am biased.
Manu, with 35 and 50 cron R and Metabone adaptor, I can think of at least a good reason for Novaflex since it is much lighter. Metabone has great build by brass but also 'great' weight.
Hope this helps for leica R folks haven't got their A yet. lens performance will report later, hopefully.
