well i have been shooting for awhile and i only use zooms. the reason for this is fairly simple. i can't be caught swapping out lenses in mid shoot where i can't move around to get the image i want. last week i was in theTsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. now this location is not set up for anything but doing their business and they do it briskly. went in at 06:00. this place has a simple warning in english: it essentially says enter at your own risk. no kidding.

you need to keep moving here or become part of the floor or walls
primes are nice but not for moving around and through.
My favorite part of this thread is his initial post indicates he has already taken some shots with it since he knows the optics are "really really really good".
It's a nice regurgitation of worthless information though. Congrats!
This is from an old post (Feb/10)
It talks about MTF data and since I do not understand it I would be very great full if someone would give me a simple explanation?
In this chart they compare the new 24 to the old 28mm 1.4
