Any users here?
I plan to get the TS adapter for mamiya lenses.
What is the equivalent field of view for 80mm, and 55mm lens?
Thanks
Well, it depends. If you're used to shooting an 80mm lens on a 645 body where it's a normal lens, then you'll see a 'crop factor' effect when you shoot that same lens on a full frame (FF) DSLR, where it's a short telephoto lens. If you're used to shooting only with a FF DSLR, then the angle of view (AoV) from an 80mm M645 lens on the FF DSLR will be the same as the AOV from a "35mm" 80mm lens, on the same FF DSLR. Of course, the m645 lens has lots of "image circle" left over for shifting and tilting the lens, and that's why you get the Mirex.
The Mamiya M645 C 80/2.8N is a fantastic lens on a DSLR. On a 1DsIII, the lowly 80/2.8N is just as sharp in the centre and sharper in the corners than both a Contax Zeiss Planar 85/1.4 and Leica Summicron-R 90/2 E55, and that's no small accomplishment.
