p.2 #1 · Contax 135mm Sonnar T*

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is that this lens is very easy to use. Focus snaps in more cleanly than some of the other C/Y's. I wouldn't go so far as to call it an ideal macro lens but it's pretty good on close up shots that require a little more distance but not a full macro. Bokeh is kind of funky in the first shot here but ok in the second.

Wayne,

Those shots are making me drool. Great work, but also, obviously, an exceptional lens.

How do you use a ZA on EOS? Aren't they AF lenses?

Anyway, please post more pics with this setup. I have been considering a Contax 100/2 or maybe 135/2, but this looks like another solid option.

Wayne, those shots are great, esp. #2. 3D to me.

I think Wayne can only shoot wide open with the ZA. Beautiful shots, Wayne. Do you use it with tube?

Thanks guys! Yes, it is a great lens. The lens has a manual focus ring which is very nice, has a slight bit of play in it though. I replaced the mount plate with a modified nikon-eos adapter which I redrilled to work with the ZA mounting holes. Aperture control is rudimentary by moving piece of cardboard/paper wedged against aperture ring post on inside of lens. I usually shoot it wide open or at ~f2.2.
Yes, I think the 2nd one was shot with a tube. I'll try to post some more soon.
