I was happy to host Spencer Boerup this past week here in Philly. We did a lot, took a sweet trip to New York, and had lots o fun...
We got 2 feet of snow here in PA on Saturday, which made for some interesting wedding conditions. Here's what we came up with. I apologize in advance for the massive post, there was A TON that went on during the day and we had so many shots between Spencer and I. It was hard to choose what to post....
Q: are you using a T/S or are you adding the effect in post? I've got a 45 T/S but my results are horribly inconsistent (I need more practice with it!).
Beautiful across the board. Seems like you weather Snowpocalypse 2010 with style. I appreciated the TS work much more this time around as well, #3 & #21 especially. I also really like the sensitivity that was given to the spirituality of this couple. Images like 7, 9, and 40 will mean a lot to them, I'm sure.
The gesture & emotion in 37 is terrific. Great dancing scene.
However, one nitpick - #27 I think, the church at a distance, B&G dipping on the steps... there's a lot of chroma noise showing up in the steeple.Well, maybe not a lot, but it's there and it caught my eye. That's a real nitpicky thing though - who looks for chroma noise in the bokeh?
And, maybe it's my monitor, but in #16 does the foremost groomsman have a blue ring around his head? Or is it just my monitor?
As you some fantastic work here, striking colors for such a gloomy day. I have to tell you one shot that just stopped me in my tracks was #14. The shot of that young lady is really eye catching but I really turns your head when you crop some off the top/bottom and right side just stopping just about at the outline of the groom, really a powerful and stunning shot.
