Is there, and could someone supply me with a link to a download if it exists for adobe camera raw plug in for CS3 Please. I have version 4.

You need CS4 for 1D4 support.

you can however use the ADOBE DNG converter to change the .CR2 files into DNG's. Then CS3 will work them

Use the free DNG converter. That is what I am doing so I can work on 1D MArk IV raws in Lightroom 3 (beta). The Photoshop CS3 development team train closed shop and moved over Photoshop CS 4 (and beyond) least 18 months ago.

Dont worry you didn't stress me at all. Sorry if it came across like that.

And no I doubt you will be the last by a long way. This really needs to be a sticky at the top of the board/s.

As for your CS3/1D4 issue . as was said earlier you can use the DNG tool which is free or you can upgrade to CS4 to get the better/newer ACR . the other way would be to get Lightroom which has the same ACR. But LR3 will out shortly followed by CS5. so you may be better to wait

Make sure you use the link above and don't confuse the ACR updater with the DNG converter. Two different animals ACR updater won't work unless you have CS4.

You need CS4 for "native" 1D4 raw file support, but CS4 my soon be CS5. Consider that before you upgrade from CS3 to CS4, or before you buy a new camera.
