Lovely shot, dhogan! Quite unusual composition, but it works for me.

Taken today, in Kauai (Hawaii) at Kailio beach. Six warning signs on the beach, if the trees are not a hint about how tough it gets here. VS 35-70 at 5.6 or 8.

Nice work Andreas!

Great shot of the cherry blossoms dhogan. I'll be in Kyoto April 7th, hope I wont be too late to see the cherry blossoms.

I love this lens, very versatile, great color and sharp.

Yes, it definitely is. But the grasshopper is also out of this world, an astonishing picture.

Amazing pictures! I reckon most are shot with 5D or other FF body. Would results be similar (at the size we see on screens) with a xxD camera I wonder?

I got some simply excellent results out of this lens on a 20D. Focal lengths are a little buggered, but it did work as a 50-135 lens pretty well. No doubt this thread will be still up when I finally get my new computer running, and I'll be able to show off some of the wares.

As I've noted before--the lens optically is spectacular, but the major use I had for it (general purpose run and gun) make the 24-105 a better instrument for my uses. The zoom is hard to beat in good light and/or tripod use, which seems to be a lot of what we're seeing here on FM.

That said, it's still better on my 5D.

Thank you, Daniel! I have been keeping my eye on this zoom, even though I have excellent primes that cover the range. I presume that pictures here are the best selection and it takes quite some practice to nail the focus right, especially on xxD.

Well--the nice thing (in good light at least) is there's a lot of pop out of the lens, so you get a pretty good idea when you're in focus. In darker situation--yeah, I missed a lot of shots on my 20D.

Lots of great photos in this thread. The 35-70 was my most used lens while being on Lanzarote last week.

I am still working on how to sharpen the photos from the 35-70 and the ZF21. My regular sharpening is not working. These lenses are too sharp...

Here are a few samples from the trip.
