Another set with the ZE 28 Distagon, this time with some rather harsh light.

Jochenb, love the light. Well captured.
dubaiphil, very nice shot and b&w processing.
Luka, well done, like the b&w especially.
joakim, nice tree series. #1 stands out.

Here's one from the garden last evening. 100MP ZF.2

Martynas, nice looking reflection from the water.

Akul, did you focus behind the dead tree trunk? It doesn't "pop" at all, and I would assume it would.

Phil, nice B&W processing.

Joakim, really good looking set. Harsh light can be problematic, but works for some subjects well.

I like the most of the light when a cloud edge is just moving away between my subject and sun, to get the best light timing is really important - these two as comparison, both with Carl Zeiss Distagon T* 2/28 @ f/8, 1/125s, 5DmkII@ISO 100, first one is almost my optimal light, but I maybe pressed shutter 0.5 seconds too early, photo would have benefit of getting little more direct light. The second one is at full sunshine.

I love the first one, Samuli!

Martynas, is that reflection faked? I cannot understand how such a perfect reflection could result from such rippled water.

You can see more of this place (plenty of it) and judge for yourself http://500px.com/search?tag=Trondheim. I did some post during which and ripples and reflection got much more pronounced. So - no it is not (sorry double u frank!)

Wilhelm, Jochen, Joakim, Picture this Thank you.

Samuli - It is possible that focus is slightly behind however the top right is in focus 'zone', I had four ( i think ) shots of the same tree root and all others had siginificant back focus. Root was not as 'flat' so hard to say which part was actually in focus.

Jay, the extra rain we get in our Pacific Northwest 'hood can be beneficial when it comes to photography, especially in spring

I could have sworn it was because some of the "missing" features in the reflection. Sry, my bad :-)

Either way, beautiful image and strong character as usual coming from you.

Diploneis - beautiful shot from Skogn, intriguing reflections from Trondheim, but the colors in the Skogn shot is better.
Akul - like your b&w conversion with beautiful tonality.
Dubaiphil - great b&w Venice wall.
Jochenb - well captured Siena colours.
Samuli - great demonstration of the importance of timing the light. Like your b&w in previous set.
JaKo two very green sets, #2 and #3 of your first set my favs.

twoeye; great composition and simplicity. You rarely post here, but when you do, you DO!
Oh BTW, kudos for 'dragging' your DSLR and Zeiss glass up to the mountain to capture and share such an image.
