UPDATE - I wanted to write (ZE) lenses and not this specific lens. Thanks for pointing out Philber.

as per request of many...and it does make sense as all these lenses are almost the same.

I beleive I also read the philber wrote, he considered switching over to a Sony, but since he could not use his favorite Zeiss 50 1.4 ZE , thats what stopped him.

I am now on the lookout for one as well.

Here is a photo of Owls Head Light in Maine - taken with a 50 1.4 - a B&W polarizer was used. I have learned that these Zeiss lenses have such great color and contrast they really don't need a polarizer. However - once in awhile !

I just got my Zeiss 21mm ZE lens from UPS during lunch and I did a few quick test shots and I am blown away at how you can shoot in the midday sun, sun fully in the frame, and retain shadows and blue sky, and with very minimal flare if any. Simply Wow!

Some are better than others, although very few compare with those found in this forum by the Zeiss Meisters, who are to numerous to name.

From fabulous India, one picture with ZE 50, one with ZE 85. I came back with some 1500 pictures after the first two rounds of elimination. Out of my total 8 lenses, 2 Zeiss and 6 Canon, 75% of those came from the 2 Zeiss, and 90% of my 225 really satisfactory pictures. That is when I decided to go all Zeiss.
