Wow, those are really good!! I love the colors in them. They almost have a HDR quality to them but are very subtle. I really like the subjects, very interesting stuff. #1 and #2 are probably my favorites. Nice job!
The sun filtering through far off yellow and orange clouds gave it that rich tonal quality I think you're seeing. I just set up the tripod, set the camera to manual, and snapped away - no PP at all other than a little sharpening. A few of these I went ahead and put up our gallery cuz I like them too. They printed up even nicer (richer tones) than they look here electronically.
By "comps" I assume you mean compositions right? "Comps" in the video world has a different meaning is why I ask. Videophile "Comp" = Compositing and is closer to the photography term PP.
I was thinking of the same crop too. And also cutting some of the straighter left-most portions. But since I already messed up the colors by leaving AWB on I just thought what the hell, post it as is ( the full 360☼ ) and they can scroll to the crop positions they like.
Good job on the panorama. Despite the AWB, i think it turned out great. My pet peeve with lots of panoramas is screwy horizons and buildings that are tipping left/right and not straight up and down. Would of liked to see more height though since your missing the tops of some of the buildings.
I'll have to spend a bit more time in Nagoya next time i go back to japan
That's an excellent idea on the straightening of the buildings papageno! I actually read your post right when you made it. But I was going to edit and straighten them before replying. I guess I still will - when I have more time to play with them. Thanks for the comment and the tip too!
Thanks caseyyee! Yeah, I realized I wasn't zoomed out far enough after I put it together. I thought I had checked framing around the pan but I guess I missed it. Thanks for the comment and tip!
