Great shot - especially the grasses in the foreground. (Too bad they aren't tall enough to obscure the fence!) I think it would be nice to dodge in some more detail of the elements just under the roof. It looks like there is detail in there that would be good to have.
Yeah, taller fronds would have been nice. The leafless branches are kind of a drag too. I did take two exposures so that I could recover the detail under the eves you're talking about but didn't bother to open it. This is basically the result of several tutorials I took yesterday concerning smart objects, a new (for me) kind of sharpening, and B&W conversions.
To make it better, besides those eves, I'd like to clone out that sign-board and some of the bare branches too.
