Incredible photos, everyone! Here are my contributions... I wasn't sure if it was okay to contribute multiple images, but as it is approaching the end of the month, I figured what the heck. All the photos were taken in the Kimberley of western Australia this summer at Mornington Wildlife Sanctuary... Quite an amazing time there.
Pair of long-tailed finches preening each other near sunrise. These finches were busily feeding nestlings... I felt quite fortunate to get a few images of respite and intimacy between the birds.
Jabiru stork fishing in Bluebush Wetland. I liked the effect of the reflections and the sandstone glow showing in the shallow wetland water here as the male stork fed... Quite a striking bird.
Female red-backed fairy-wren. Although the males of this species are more bold in color, I really liked the effect of the fairy-wren perched in the midst of branches and grass, echoes of her tail and legs in the angles of the vegetation.
