Here you go a little variety. Don't get me wrong here but with all your inquiry threads on the 1D Mark III I can't but think you are trying to find negatives and fault with the body maybe you should take the real life plunge and rent one for a day and see for your self in reality not what other people say or show you. Don't mean to come across hard but just my thinking here.

I am looking for people's pics that know their camera and also know how to use it...I have heard from many people that have issues with the settings and who had problems with the camera. I am looking for people's pics who like and can use their camera. I have a 1DMkII N . I shoot BIF, sports,airplanes, etc. My renting one will not show me the quality of someone who has mastered the 1DMkIII already.... Your pictures are a great example of this ...Thank you. I am convinced about getting one, I love to see the shots and welcome the chance to see that quality..........Rich

Gene can do this with any camera. If I am not mistaken, he carries a "L"ong lens and treads softly

That's his secret.

Only thing I have with the 1DMKII N besides this.. This is the stuff I shoot a lot of Al-Servo. That is why I am asking about pics and showing what I shoot....

This is a still from a movie. This car, piloted by a professional stunt driver, is coming toward me at about 70MPH and he makes one of those 180 degree turns. The road had to be watered down so the tires would skid as he wanted them to and not roll the car over. (check the lean of the car and the water where the tires make contact.

We did several takes. All were pleased with the results.

Rich, you seem to have mastered those hummers, and probably have shot enough GBH flight pics to know how the cookie crumbles there.

I have a suggestion for you:

(1) Stick with your MkIIN for now.

(2)Try to find some bird species in your neighbourhood which are (a) abundant and (b) not bigger than a duck. For example, Mallards or smaller ducks would do fine, starlings and house sparrows would be perfect.

(3) Photograph those birds in flight using your MkIIN. I mean, lottsa pictures...100-300 a day, depending on the opportunities.

(4) Come back here to discuss your experience with MkIIN application on BIF photography after you have:
(a) accumulated at least 20 keepers per bird species (or related species), and
(b) encountered MkIIN design performance limitations which you feel are hampering your keeper rate.

Have fun, because that's what the hobbies are about.
