p.1 #1 · Doug Gordon torchlight...?

Was looking at some video lights, and comae across Doug Gordon's Torchlight. Kinda reminds me of those micro LED panels, but maybe a little simpler to use. Anyone use one, have one? Haven't been able to find tons of info on it, so if you have any, pass it along. Thanks!

Chris

Pretty pricey at $389

Personally I use a few cheap Sima lights for a few things and just gel it to balance color or even totally change color in an ambient background. It is nice that the torchlight has quick variable intensity, but like he says in the video you'll generally never use it at the full intensity. So what's the point of having it capable of running that hot?

And it looks like the bracket he is using is separate at $385

There are more cost effective ways to achieve the same result.

I own it, like it, wish it were brighter at times and I think some of the smaller ones might be better. but its light, has 2 screw holes for mounting it to things and it came with a amber dome and a frosted dome...

The thing also lasts forever. Just havn't been able to get it used in my weddings... maybe soon...
