This is my first post to the Landscape forum. I look forward to your comment and critique.

We spent a few days earlier this month at Monument Valley. Here are four photos
from that visit.

The first was taken early in the morning following a light snow fall.

Superb shots, Fred! How nice that you had a bit of snow to add to the mix!! Numbers 2 and 4 are my favorites. What lens did you use?

Thanks for your comments. I used the following, in order of the photos; Canon 1D Mk III with 100-400, Canon 5D with 17-40, Canon 5D with 24-70 and Canon 5D with 24-70. The 100-400 and 24-70 seemed the best combination to work with for Monument Valley.

Just love the 3rd totem pole composition. The starburst is the icing
on the cake on this one.

The first is my favorite, I love the rich colours coming out from underneath the snow.

I used Fred Cly. His telephone number is 435-419-0465. He has been guiding since 1983, is a photographer and has worked with production teams on a number of films, including Forrest Gump. He has a good eye for lighting and composition, and is willing to take you into the valley at any time of the day or night for sunrise, sunset or star trail photos. We were very pleased with him.

#3 is my favourite, though they are all fine. #1 is unusual and the perspective and composition in #2 are really well choosen.
