Dick. Thank you for the compliments. I think it worked better because i was lower than the bighorn - in the dish. Being lower has been recommended to me before but this reinforces it. Much appreciated. Scott

Great ram, Scott. #4 would be my fav. Your right, eye level or lower gives the shot a more natural look, IMO. Great stuff,
Darryl

Hi Scott,

Number 2 is my favorite. Perfect crop ---- just the right amount of ground and front foot. Nice detail and exposure. I'd print that one fairly big and frame it. Nice work!

Interesting photos, I love how the horn wraps around the eye in the third photo...very cool shot.

I like the reprocess in 4 but I like the comp in 3 better, which would look better if it had the processing you did in 4

You have captured the spirit of the rams in these.
#4 shows the hits along their path of life, with one chipped and sharp horn.
The high iso response of the 7D is very impressive.

Ken: thanks for the suggestion on reprocessing 3. Much appreciated. Scott

MtnM: I agree that the high ISO is pretty good on 7D. It is not quite as good as my 5dii - I think 3200 on 5dii is about 1600 on 7d, but compared to my old 30d, its night and day. The ram is amazing in that their heads are not scrambled from fighting for girls, enough to show its age. Thansk for the feedback. Scott
