from the forum, look in regularly, haven't posted for a while, been busy on lots of things. Indoor shooting area finally complete, first op to try it all out.

Never far away from my subject, either. 'Bout fifteen inches here.

C&C always welcome, one shot per the norm. Shot this rose with the oly 135, the Leica 135 and then the Leica 135, all on bellows. Bet if I posted the two Leica shots together, you couldn't tell them apart, like one of those "spot-the-differences" puzzles in the comix. This from the 100, after teensy RAW sharpening, a single course of sharpening at 75% on the luminosity channel - two courses = oversharpening.

This is a beauty for sure! I may want to see a little more space to the right and top otherwise I love it. Simple, elegant and stunning.

I love this shot, the color, the shading in the flower itself, Lovely!
It does seem like you have some dots or pinholes in the BG??

Hey Dave, good to see an image from you my friend! I'm with Tim on this, more room would be nice, it is a strong flower as far as accurate color and detail as well as the angle that it IMO will hold fine with a little breathing room

Really pretty color!

Welcome back David and good to see that you have completed your indoor shooting area project.
For me it is simple, beautiful, elegant and stunning!
I am a bit puzzled on the lens you used as you said you Shot this rose with the oly 135, the Leica 135 and then the Leica 135, all on bellows..
Did you mean a Leica 100 in place of one of the Leica 135?

Tim & Karl, I actually took a bunch with the flower lower and smaller, decided I liked the tension of its current size and placement.

Dn & Larry, the BG is a piece of rough-textured art paper for pastels. It's not pure white, but bright enough to reflect light back through the flower.

Martin, my apologies for my typo, you are correct, I shot with the Oly and Leica 135s and the Leica 100. This pic is from the Leica 100.

Thx Ted. Color as you see it is straight from the camera. The lens was described to me prior to purchase as "low contrast, moderately sharp."

Mebbe I'll git me one of them high-contrast, tack sharp lenses some day...
