First, I'm just an uncle and hack with the camera.
The subjects of the photos love the processing.
I'm curious to see how people here react to it, however. Very non-traditional and not what I generally see here in this forum.
Also, I'm obviously struggling with focus and sharpness.
I admire you guys who can nail this stuff.
I love the processing... the high contrast I think adds to these photos. Nailing the focus on action moments when the subject is moving towards you is always tough. No worries though, these are great.

Thanks, I my try to shoot my first bike race, - a cyclocross race - this coming weekend. I ride bikes but I've never tried shooting a race. I was scanning the FM Forum for some examples. These are good ones and have given me some good ideas on composition.

Have fun shooting the race. I've previously shot cyclocross with a 70-200. Definitely a great lens, but for this race I decided to use the 35 in order to take in more surroundings.
