p.1 #1 · Aligator or not?

I didn't realize this when I shot this croc, nope aligator, yesterday in the Evergaldes. The rock that he was laying next to looks nearly like another croc nope aligator.

I don't have a clue what the black spot on the rock is? Maybe a spot on my lens!

Kinda of a fun picture!

Mike, your croc is actually an American alligator. American crocodiles (Crocodylus acutus) tend to be in and around brackish or saltwater areas.

Regardless, great capture and love the composition.

There are some American crocks in the Everglades, around the Flamingomarino, that can be seen and photographed.
