I've been lucky to get a family shot this year. But I agree with Lil, after an animal kills your pet, you just want to be there with a baseball bat. I lost 2 cats to a coyote in my yard. Had no idea a racoon would harm pets. I'm sorry, Lil! It takes a long time to be ok with wildlife shooting again....

I don't like raccoons any more Lou.
Not since one killed our Cockatoo last week.
Now raccoons are on my dirt list (would use a stronger word but my mother raised me to be a lady.)
Lil
P.S. you have fun Lou & I hope you're feeling better.
Thanks Lil and sorry about your Cockatoo. That is one reason we placed predator guards on tree nests for the eagles. I did one on my red shoulder hawks after a coon got the first nesting of four. Nature is nature.
I was feeling petty good untill today when I got my Doctors Consultation bill

Linda (I think its Linda) yes the perils of nature can seem cruel at times but there is no other way for wildlife. I also lost cats to coyotes and even found the remains of one back in the woods behind my home back in New York. I have seen the Cooper hawk take a red finch right off the feeder and a black bear pick a new born fawn up in its jaws and walk away with the doe standing by a few yards away. Sad sights but ones that have to take place because it is wildlife.

Fun set Lou, I love the caption on the first one
The fish diving eagle on the cup is a classic! Love it

Thanks Tim and although the raccoon can be a problem at times they do what they have to do to stay alive. I felt bad when I lost that nesting of four young red shoulders to one but I should have had a guard in place as soon as I saw them building the nest.
So you are teaching the raccoon to fetch sticks? Hey Lou, you got more animal in your whoops frame than I do when I miss the shot
Great Eagle fishing shot! Now just add a frosty head to this one and I will order a round for all my friends here
Have a great weekend buddy.............I am out with the grandkids for a hike tomorrow, we will see what they scare up
Hi Lou and hope you are recuperating well and that the doctor's bill has not set you back too much! Enjoyed this post and am still wondering how you got the eagle and fish into the glass

Thanks Karl and yes a nice head of foam would have made the front page. Grand-kids---- so you got them also. Well I don't do much as 3 grandsons are in Ohio and two more close here in Falmouth but they are girls and into all kinds of things so I don't get to see them to often. I do hope you have had a good walk as you will be back by the time I send this.

Just like building a three master in a bottle Actually the eagle is on this measuring cup that was given to me for a present. I got the fish from clip art and extracted it so I could layer it on the cup so it looked like the egle was going for it. Thanks for looking.
