If you could take only 1 lens to your next wedding what lens do you think you could pull it off with?!

Don't worry, I'm not thinking of reducing my gear to a single lens!

Specify FF or Crop body.

I want a Nikon 24-70 f2.8 and I believe I could shoot almost anything with that bad boy clamped onto my D700.

I hope to aquire one in 2010.

The problem with this question is that it forces you to choose versatility over quality - which may not be the best plan of action in an *actual* wedding.

That said, I'd probably bring a 24-70/2.8 and use it on FF>

Sigma 50

I love my Sigma 28/1.8, which is sharper and equals the 50 in terms of IQ, but the 50 is more versatile.

If I had to though it would be a 17-55 f/2.8 on a crop but I'm sure Olga, the church nazi would run me off at some point during the ceremony.

The 85L on the 1DsIII would be my first choice IF the Bride gave me full creative control.

The 35L would not be a problem on either the 1DsIII or the 1DIII.

The 24-70L works ever time.
