I have recently ordered a 7D so in a few days I will be saying goodbye to my XTi (it rymes. This was my first SLR, purchased two years ago because of the birth of my son, and it has served me well giving me alot of great and memorable pictures; way beyond the quality that I would have gotten with my A710IS.
By way of saying goodbye, I invite everyone who has an XTi to post your favorite photos taken with it.
I'll start by posting one of my favorites (of my son of course).
Nice photo of a very handsome young man. The XTI was/is a great camera for the price but you have really stepped up with the 7D. Just remember it is a complex camera with a zillion options that affect picture quality. Do not make the mistake of pixel peeping to much, the 18M pixels can fool your eyes, print out some large PP images and they will knock your socks off. Oh and do get used to PP your images if your not already into that, 7D straight out of camera shots can appear to be a bit soft but the resolving power of this camera is out of sight. Enjoy.

Thanks Dave. I really appreciate your tips. I know that the 7D is a whole different beast and that the learning curve is much steeper than for the XTi but it was time for me to upgrade and grow.
I bought an xti in april of 2008 for the birth of my daughter and have just moved up to the 7d aswell. xti is good for the money but you will love the 7d. good choice.

I had my XTi since it came out in 2006 (and the original Rebel since 2003) and took thousands of images with it. It was a great camera for me but I also just upgraded to a 7D.

The beloved XTi got me re-addicted to photography. I switched from 35mm SLR to P&S when my kids were born 15 years ago, but switched back to DSLR and I love it.
I love my 400d, and will only be parted from it when the rigamortis wears off. I'm buying a FF Canon soon, but it will always be a part of my photographic arsenal. A few favourites from this year:
