I have a new D3x and my manual focus Zeiss ZF lenses seem to front focus? So I have a couple of questions that might help me determine a course of action.
Does the electronic rangefinder (ERF) work off the same system as the AF ?
If AF testing shows that the D3x is properly calibrated ..how might non CPU lenses front focus?
The screen focus and the ERF seem to be exactly the same?
I need to better understand this before I ship the D3X off to Nikon for calibration.
Diopter was adjusted and I have a clear view of the screen. The screen looks sharp when the center focus point results in the >.< just showing the dot.
What I need to know is if the ERF is operating off the AF system .
