p.1 #1 · Finished that golf ball

I took the "dimple light" out of the equation and changed the tee, among other things. Thanks, everyone, for the suggestions.

Shot with two speedlights (one key, one bgrnd) and a fill card. Those of you familiar with Lastolite reflectors will recognize the background here as the fabric from their covers.

I like it, Greg. Almost has that surreal HDR feel to it.

Nice work. The only change I would suggest would be to rotate the ball up so the swoosh in in the highlight, not centered on the ball. Product styling, everybody has an opinion

Thanks for showing us the result of so many suggestions

I think it looks great, I actually really like the shadow where the dimple light was. I also agree about raising the swoosh just a little bit. I would be happy with it either way.

Thanks, guys. Mattski1, it's all one frame; no stacking for DR or focus. I think the look you mention is due to some potent manipulation of midtone contrast.

I never got around to answering the last thread but this is what I had in mind. Nice result!

Didn't mean to imply that you actually used HDR techniques, just commented on the look. I like it.
