I think I have the flu. Got sick Thursday, November 5 while at the boat. Intense headache. Nausea. Chills. Clammy skin. Disoriented. Dizzy. Came home. Mr. B drove.
Went back to the boat Saturday, November 14, thinking I’d rather be sick at the beach than inland. Had high hopes of getting to the beach that weekend.
Nope.
Only took two shots all weekend.
Sunnyside Up at dawn, Sunday morning, and Sunday evening, Sun Down.
Mr. B sanded brightwork (teak) all day. I read and/or slept in the V berth.
Came back home Monday, 16th, headache intact. Still have it. It's been three weeks. Two Darvocet N 100s at the time doesn't touch it. Sore throat, cough, chest congestion and nausea too. I'm sick of drinking cherry flavored glop.
Patrice - really great images. I just love your light, and the treatment of it in the first. You really made all of those lines work for you; something I would have found impossible. Great vision on your part.
The second of course has, as Rich noted, those beautiful colors. It is really stunning.
So the miserable flue has not affected your vision or skills.
Woah colors. The purple in 1 is pretty crazy. The comp is good, though a bit cluttered, but seems to work and have a good marine feel. Very lovely 2nd image. Love the soft whites on the boat...well controlled/edited :-) Feel better!
Took this shot late Thanksgiving day. Thought I'd call it "Strawberry Sky" and post it here since it sort of makes a series from the back door. I wish the fringes of the trees were in better focus, but I was focusing on the boats. Perhaps I wish I had a better lens!
I love the first two images Patrice. The colors in the first one are quite subtle but the comp carries the scene quite well. The sunrise colors in the second one are outstanding.
