I am thinking of buying one of the presets below. I have written both, but while I wait for a reply, do you guys think the presets that work in Lightroom 2, will still work in Lightroom 3 when it comes out? I rather not waste my money.
Yes, but just be aware that noise reduction/vignette/sharpening settings may have a slightly different effect in the LR3 release, but you can always edit those presets if you need to.
Thanks. On a side note, noise reduction in LR has never been very useful to me. I can never seem to get it to look all that great. I have Noiseware, and get MUCH better results with it.
Can't you just move them from one folder to another? At least presets for the Develop module? It seesm ti would be the same as loading presets you acquire somewhere outside of LR. Find them in LR2, copy and paste into LR3, hopefully.

well the develop presets is all stored in a separate directory within your windows user profile so you dont have to copy them elsewhere. i have LR2 and LR3 beta installed separately and it reads the develop presets from same directory
