My very good friend asked me to take a couple of photographs of her....so I did. I've never done any maternity shots before. As always I'm learning so what do you think? Thanks

Hi,

It is a nice "classic" pose, and the way the light is focused on her face is nice (with lower parts in shadow).

I think you did a nice job and I bet she is pleased.

I like the warm look too.

She looks comfortable and happy with her expression. Very pretty image of a mother to be.

Lucky you, lucky her (to have you photograph her).

Thanks Steady...Its a learning experience for sure. I was going for a very soft almost oil painting look. I think I'm in the ball bark.....(ball park at least.)

for me, this is about her condition that many mother's want to recall. I think there needs to be a greater effort to highlight the belly, otherwise this is just a partially nude portrait. Does that make sense? Nice shot otherwise.

Makes sense to me - I was about to type a comment about more light down there.

Ha, I could see that.

I have some indoor portraits that are reminiscent of this one as well... would be funny to compare
