p.6 #1 · To my SoCal friends! (21)

Conrad - here's another bird to add onto your First list - there's a mountain blue bird at SJWS. It usually sits on the trail between pond C and Pond D. From the the parking lot as you pass the chain fence, follow the main trail and head north. Skip the the first "intersection" and go to the next intersection. Turn right and head East. The bird should be sitting on top of one the nesting boxes or on the perching pole at end of the trail.

There should also be some wood ducks at end of this trail in pond C as well.

Saw a mountain blue but didn't get a shot. Couldn't find CWW either but gonna try again later. Eating lunch and getting a foot massage right now hahahaa!

That is an American Avocet in non-breeding plummage. Commom out at SJWS and other So Cal wetland locations.

When Ant called it was a classic moment. Dude it was great meeting you and have the chance to shoot two days in a row with you. Time to have a gander at the shots from the weekend and see whats good and whats not. Dude you missed the Osprey the Linda, Quang Josh and I where shooting on the way out of SJWS. Those CWW where in perfect ligh in the early AM. Anyways dude till next time. Happy shooting.
