Pretty awesome. My attempt at the Watchman resulted in nothing but failure!

Yours on the other hand is outstanding. I love the three layers in the shot, the trees, peaks and louds. I also like how crisp the detail is. It does look a little dark, but that really enhances the mood as well. Great work as always Jeffrey!

Jeffrey, the moody contrast of the darker sky against the upper layered
light on the rock cliffs is gorgeous. Icon or not its beautifully captured.

Beautiful takeaway on this icon really like your comp and the awesome Fall colors contrasting nicely with the surrounding canyon walls, very nicely seen

The skies sure did cloud up after I headed home. You have done a nice job finding some trees that still had peak color. The morning light is quite nice as well. I am glad that you found a composition other than the commonly seen bridge shot. Did you also shoot this with your 4x5?

It might be a frequently shot icon but there's no way I would have passed up on this scene if I was there.

Looks like a very nice take on this scene - I'd certainly print it.

Very nice take on the Watchman. I might like to see a little more contrast or vibrance to the foreground brush and trees only, to give a little more feeling of depth and separation from the background.

The colours, exposure, and composition are all great. The only thing I find lacking is there is no real sense of depth to the photo. It all looks very flat and 2D to me.
