Man made of course.

Snow making operations on the Steamboat ski area. 7: 00 AM and about 5 degrees. Clear crisp sunny bluebird morning, and the storm still rages.

That's a cool shot.

I might be tempted to run a single file HDR photomatix rendition of this one. Surprised at the lack of comments.....I like it.

Thats because we are all dreading winter. Very cool shot. BTW, I think it would look even better in black and white.

Interesting title given the nature of the "storm"

Definitely a nice framing of the scene and for the record I prefer the smidge of color in the image - it adds a nice touch to the presence of the lodge.

Thanks you guys

I think winter is here. It certainly cuts down on my shooting, but it gives me time to work and rework some of my summer and fall shots on the computer, in front of a crackling fire in the fireplace

Plus the other three seasons more than make up for it here in the mountains.

Maybe I should take my camera up on the slopes with me and become a ski photographer
