I like to leave these types of photos up to interpetation by the viewer, with just giving a hint of what they are sometimes in the title.

Comments, Critiques and thoughts are always welcome on my photos.

Hey, Y. I'm going to guess you used a zoom lense, and modified the focal length during the exposure.

Or, maybe you just pressed your lense up against a 'kaleidoscope' to take the shot.

Anyway, another nice result.

Cheers,
Ed

Hi Binh and Ed. I used a 50 to 200mm lens (I think) and zoomed. This was hand held....the camera moved down and a touch to the side as I zoomed. It is all about the timing. If you zoom to fast you just get a zoom explosion with nothing recognizable in the photo. If you zoom to slow you get light or lighter streaks...and can see to much detail.

Glad you like this one.

'Y' this works extremely well for me. Thanks for sharing the technique. I need to give it a try.

Again, nice capture, though I think the last was just killer.

Hey Y,

Very cool! I like the zoom effect, it really works well here. And you are right, it is very tricky to get just right.

It is very nice, but I like the previous one way better.

Hi Al, Glad you like this one. If you try these techniques do post your results.

Thanks Jim S. Glad to hear you liked both my shots.

Jim F. Thanks for commenting. Yes these shots do take lots of practice.

Nice to hear from you Sunny, these photos don't always turn out the same. That can be a good thing, or...maybe not.

I like your abstracts and the title suits well. For me it is somehow a tunnel.

Hi Karl, Yes a zoom like this will often give the impression of a tunnel. Thanks for posting.
