Hi.
I like two and three. I have a 500 Nikon reflex, that i use on my D3oo. I actually used it yesterday on some Canada Geese, cat-tails and fall leaves.
Cheers

I agree, #3 is the standout in this series.

I will also pick # 3.

On # 1 & 4 I find the backgrounds distracting.

Good to see you're still around and active, Morris. You are remembered very fondly over at Phil's gear forums.

Thanks everyone for your positive comments. Interesting you all chose 3 as your favourite. That was intended only as a test picture outside my window from a mirror lens that just arrived that day, whereas the other three were very much intended to be finished articles.

For anyone who's interested, 1, 2 & 4 are Tamron 500mm f8 55BB with 1 & 4 hosted on a Olympus E-500 and 2 on a Canon 300D. Pic 3 is the Sigma 600mm f8 cream/white version hosted on a Canon 40D.

Kingfishphoto, please do add to this thread favourite results from your Nikkor, or show me if you posted them elsewhere...The Nikkor and the Zuiko are mirror lenses I am hunting!

Anyone else who has favourite photos with mirror lenses please do show them.

On # 2 & 3 - I find the bgs again distracting.

# 4, 5 & 6 work for me.

You did a fine job with the Reflex. My fav is number 3 also, the leaf. The Mirror lens seems to do well for close stuff. Not bad bokeh either!
