This old Chevy truck sits behind a local feed and hay store - a converted heritage barn, actually - that I visit fairly often. The truck has been in the same place for the last 25 years or so but I've only recently discovered it as a photo subject. I was there last Saturday on a dull, dreary day and the light was so flat and soft I couldn't resist grabbing a couple more shots. Leica Digilux 2 in-camera B&W jpeg with some tweaking in ACDSee Pro 3...
I like these kinds of images. Great find and worthy of many more shots.
Nice conversion on the first, but I'd like a bit more to the sky. Maybe darken it just a tad?
A little tight on the right headlight. I like the angle, framing, soft edge.
On your second image, I really like the view you have preserved thru the windshield.
Cool truck. I like the shot of the cab with the weeds inside. I found a few of these recently at an old farm. I have a strange attraction to old machinery and whenever I come across something I wonder when it was last used and what it was used for.

I wondered about the sky but it was a dull gray day and that's exactly what the camera captured. I can try pulling it down a bit.

I often use this frame treatment. The headlight was "just" in the shot till I put in the border. (Oooops)

One of the things I like about the Digilux 2 is the DOF you get when shooting wide open at f2. Keeps the subject area nicely in focus but provides some nice blurring of the background.
