Really cool capture. The framing of the trees on the right really makes the image for me -- what a scale of distance here.

Really like this image as it not only gives a sense of scale but conveys the cold.

But now you've started something! While I sort of understand Al's plight,
I can't wait for the snows to hit the Sierras!

While I have been in the shadow of Mt. Thielsen in all seasons, this was my first opportunity to photograph the peak in Winter, and in clear weather: it was good to be there then.
