We are starting to move to all primes for our weddings, and I am cutting back on sports/concerts/etc so time for this to go. It is a great lens - shows a little bit of wear on the body, and the hood has some scuff marks. There is also a very small pin prick sized dot on the front element, but it doesn't show up or effect IQ at all. Date code is UU, comes with the soft case and the tripod foot. I think all the recent photos I have taken with are are at higher ISO, but will get some new stuff if needed. Pretty much it works like it should, and we have never had any issues with it.
By the lack of response, guessing 1500 was too much, so how does this sound?

No offense intended, but you are probably not getting much interest because of the "No Paypal". Not many people like to send checks or money orders these days due to all the scams. I'm sure you have your reasons, but as a potential buyer, I'm not interested in a purchase with no course of action or insurance against fraud. No to mention the time it will take to send mail and wait for it to clear and then wait for the shipping.
I totally understand. I have been burned by paypal though, and it really doesn't give you as much protection as they make it out to. Check my feedback - not a lot of transactions, but several that are in the same area, price-wise. Personally, I love local transactions - but, that isn't always possible.
have you considered Google checkout? I recently used this on FM and it was great. Google basically as an intermediary between the buyers card and the sellers bank.
It might be worth looking into as an alternative to paypal.

I have accepted/sent money orders of amount of over 3k on one transactions without any hestitation, as long as seller have some positive feedback here. I have never bought from Wes, but his past feedback includes a very handsome Canon 300mm 2.8 IS lens which is a helfty chunk of mula...
..I am willing to , but ..1st I don't have that much cash (post office here only accepts cash...yes I am @ APO ) and it takes at least a week and half for it to get to him , etc ..... and I can't really send eletronic check thx to my bank ... so I really have limited option here...
Thanks again for the response for trades. While I would be super psyched with a 24l/35l in trade, the wife isn't as excited. So, still looking to sell out right, or maybe take a 85 1.8 or 50 1.4 as a partial trade. If nothing happens over the long weekend, might be looking at the 35L trades again.
Here are some images I just took, all just RAW to jpg conversions with no tweaking - first two are at f2.8, next is blue sky f/16 (little bit of sensor dust, but the speek on the front element isn't showing). And the last is a shot of the front element. The speck in the slightly of center right is the mark, the other is just random dust. The lens works great, and we have been using it on paid jobs with no problems, and plenty of praise.
