I knew you had a 7d, I just didn't know you had any birds
Top notch work S man. Well the first two might be missing their virtual tails
Seriously, you are making that body sing but then again you did the same with the 40d, the 50d, probably with the cheap disposable you bought at the drug store!
Real nice work Socrate, real nice work.
Tim
Thanks Tim for your comments. Yeah, the 7D is collecting some dust, as other things get in the way. Thanks for the good words, my friend.

Hello Little Feathered Friend man You are always making these birds look their best and giving us 'connection' through those eyes with them. I happen to think #4 Titmouse shot is excellent, a nice balance and flow in this composition. I also like the Downy image, really beautiful light Socrate.
I do have a nit, I find the 'eye' on the Bluejay headshot just too dominant, almost like a strain and it makes me tense looking at that shot...........there now I feel better
Great stuff, color, texture, detail eye contact and BG's, all those elements that make a statement you gather up nicely
Thanks for your thoughtful comments, Karl. Funny you mentioned the eye of the BJ portrait, but I can see your point as actually it is the eye of the first BJ that bothers me instead.

Just beautiful Socrate, I am glad that I left your post for the last tonight. I love your little mannikins, but this time the blue jay portrait beat him out as my favourite. Very nice job.

Socrate .
I like the whole series. My picks are the Downey and Nutmeg, and last but not least, the Bluejay closeup. I sent Chan E-mail to tell him of my two trips to Butterfly World.
Cheers
Harry
Thanks, Harry. The butterfly World is on my "To visit" list and I hope this winter I'll be able to get down there for a couple of weeks.
Socrate
my favorites are the Titmouse & the Nutmeg Mannikin (a bird I've yet to find)
Lil
Thanks for the comments and the pics, Lil. You need to ask Mr. Zoom where you can find the mannikins. I've seen him posting some pics of these birds before.
