what a beautiful location rob, didn't know lupines are there in b.c. i like the soft light in this. my only minor suggestion is i wonder (and obviously this is significant manipulation which may be objectionable to you) if you raise the left side up so that the horizon straightens out if it would make any difference.
rob i know what you mean about remembering the scene. for somebody who hasn't been there and seen it, i myself prefer your very nice 2nd edit. but others may not agree.
That is a beautiful shot. I especially like the tree line in the background. It almost looks computer generated. The trees have a very idealized look to them. Nice job.
Rob Tillyer: Just brainstorming. Your image seems to become more dynamic when cropped to create 3 layers of about equal height: Sky, tree line, and lupine field.
The image has more balance to it then. I like the colors and contrast. Lupine most have quite a range. We have it here in Southern California.
Hi, Rob. Nice refreshing sight for this time of year. If you look at the trees located in the center of the first version, they seem to be more vertical that in the revision. I think your memory must be correct.
Thanks all for your views.
Ed - The field truely does slope off as in the first shot. It is just up the road from here and puts on a show most every year. Now I can't wait for spring.
