In a big rivalry game between two of the better teams in Knoxville, TN, Bearden traveled to Farragut but were unable to beat the Admirals. It was a low scoring game and I was happy that I captured the only touchdown of the game and beat my buddy out of the top image for the game at Knoxsportsonline.com But what was really cool, was that the picture of the catch was taken with the 5d2 at 12,800 ISO and pushed about a 1/2 stop in post. The lighting in the end zones at most high schools is atrocious and Farragut is no different. This Friday, Farragut will travel to Maryville for what should be a great game between two state powerhouses.
On to some pictures of this game and a little game I went to on Sunday just for fun.
As far as the catch with no faces, you get what you can get! It's peak action, a great catch, but you can't help no one was looking at you. It's really up to you.
For a paper or magazine, but wouldn't work. But for a parent, they would love the shot! I have several shots like that, and I keep them, because the parents usually go crazy for that image of their son.
