In another thread there is a discussion about first cameras. My first camera was a Kowa SE and my second a much battered Miranda. However, my first photograph, made when I was a child of tender age, was an intentional double exposure using an ancient leather covered Kodak. I read about trick photography somewhere and wanted to give it a go. My brother had a collection of plastic models and I had old dark wool blanket on my bed. I suppose I've never strayed too far from my photographic roots, a preference for my own version of what reality ought to be.
The negative hasn't survived but the original print, somewhat the worse for wear, exists:

One of the great benefits of digital photography is it allows youngsters to explore photography cheaply and with rapid feedback. I look forward to seeing what imaging they will do.
