Thanks for the input Tim. No black space to be had in this image, though a black matt might be what you are looking for?

The original is all shades of orange and doesn't show the detail as well in my opinion. If I get the chance before my computer dies, I'll post it and see what you think.

Hibiscus are very difficult to photograph because the stamens stand out a long way from the rest of the flower. This is an interesting artistic approach. I prefer the first one slightly more. Wish there was a little more contrast, but then that nice light might not be as obvious.
