I wouldn't worry too much about the distracting elements---one reason is that they'd be hard to remove due to fact you'd have to reconstruct quite a bit of the out-of-focus fence. Another reason is that it is a great shot of your nephew---he jumps out of the image, and has the perfect expression. Excellent exposure, too, with vibrant colors and shallow DOF. A slight cropping using the rule of thirds will get rid of the left side orange & much of the orange at the top---the rest can be cloned more easily is you want to go that route. It's not horrible, but toning it down a little would probably be a good thing. By my eye, there's a little too much space at the top of the frame. Try cropping ~40% of it. Leave the left side alone; cropping will crowd the subject, allowing the tree to 'push' him out of the picture. You cannot balance an image with a tape measure and calculator.
