Anyone who is bothered by the washout of the EP-1's rear LCD may want to try this Delkin pop up shield. I have been using it for a couple of days, and it is like it was made for the camera. It also slides off for the rare occasions that you want to view the viewfinder from an angle.

Seems like this would make low angle shooting difficult. I didn't find the LCD to be TOO bad outdoors.
Well, not really.
It is a two piece hood. There is a very thin frame that tapes down to the camera. The frame has a piece of protective glass. You can take the hood off by sliding it about 1/8 inch to the side. It works well and holds it securely.
I find that I would rather bend down and to look into the hood when shooting off angle, rather than removing it.
You would swear that OLY made this item. My camera is silver, and the hood is a decent match in color.
See the pictures of the frame on my EP1 : EP-1 HOOD

Yep. It has a perimeter soft adhesive tape. I suggest you glue it onto a protective screen rather than the actual screen.
The frame has the adhesive tape. It contacts the metal frame of the LCD on the camera, and does not touch the LCD itself. It has a clear sheet of plastic that protects the LCD.

Thanks for the clarification Malcom, that is what I meant. My suggestion was to install a protective screen "before" you install the hood to be extra safe -sorry about the confusion.
