I have 2 speedlights.....no studio strobes, not yet.

I've never used a soft box and I'm thinking of getting one that can be used with the speedlight. I would be using these for portraits, etc.

They come in all shapes and sizes........

Which one should I considor............thanks for the help

Photoflex has a 32" Octobox on sale right now with stand, bracket, & stand for about $247.99 and I have one of those Octobox's and it is awesome. Other items of interest are the ere is a cool shot of my mom with the small softbox on a boom stand.

Are you using Nikon gear? If so you can take full advantage of the CLS (Creative Lighting System) that is unique to Nikon cameras.

I'm a big advocate for the Westcott Apollo line, which I use with speedlights and monolights.

I have used this extensively for location portraits and weddings. Mounted on a Denny's Quick Stand light stand, it makes for a pretty convenient package.
