I think I need to take a trip to Toronto! Can't believe you got this close to a hoodie! For some reason here in S.E. Michigan it is next to impossible even in places where there are lots of people and you would think the birds would be used to people. Excellent exposure!
Nice shot, Ray. It's a heck of a trade off - retaining detail in the dark areas right next to the whites. Tough challenge for any camera. Good low angle you shot from as well.
thanks everyone.. I guess the bird was a bit nervous while swimming back and forth acroos me, and it kept the hood down! I do have a few shots with a raised hood., and will post them soon.
