Hi all,

a couple of shots of withering Iris Germanica and Iris Brasilian Holiday, taken last summer.

Canon 5DII and Strobella flash diffuser on a 5080EXII.

I googled the strobella flash diffuser and found a very clever little umbrella.
Not too sure how well it would work though? Seems to me that most of the light would be 'lost' to the subject?

I suppose it's the same white nylon of larger shoot-through umbrellas, and like them it disperse some light. According to the seller a 1.5/2 stop.

Actually for macro it's not at all a problem, because you're very near to the subject. With Strobella I usually shoot in the range 1/4th - 1/16th of my 580EXII output, but I have it wired to the camera, and not on the hotshoe, so I get nearer and choose the angle of lighting.
