p.1 #1 · crumpler bag 5MDH or 6MDH

I already have a couple of bags, but I'm looking for a messenger type bag that is not too big. I will usually carry my 5D II with a 24-105 F4 L attached or a 100mm f2 attached, plus a 50mm and my flash. I have other equipment, but don't want this bag for storage or carry all my stuff only the combination mentioned above.

So to recap a 5D II body, either the 24-105 or 100mm and room for the 50mm and a flash.

Would the 5MDH or 6 MDH be the bag for me

5mil. 5DII and three normal sized lenses will fit perfectly in it, whereas a 6mil will feel like you are carrying waaaaaaay too much (because you are).

ditto. 5MDH. The 6M is a significant jump in size. I can get a D300 w/ L-bracket, 18-200, 10-20 and flash in mine and some accessories. If I try, I can get a 50mm in there too.

5mil is the best shoulder bag out there for a compact "carry everywhere/daily carry" rig.

My D3 and 24-70 combo wouldn't fit in the 5m so I ended up with the 6mil and am really happy with it. Not sure how the Canon model you have compares in size.

a full-size/gripped body + big lens will have a very hard time fitting into a 5mil, because that is not what the bag was designed for.

^^ A gripped 5D2, not in a 5MDH
